Faculty and Staff Campaign
Heart of the Michigan Difference
The Michigan Difference campaign is complete, and the results are truly amazing! 16,898 U-M faculty, staff and retirees came together as the Heart of the Michigan Difference, generously supporting professorships and programs, scholarships and state-of-the-art campus facilities.
Here are just a few highlights of this philanthropic leadership:
- Together, we contributed nearly $165 million in support for the University, or more than five percent of the historic $3.2 billion campaign total.
- Nearly one in every three of us made a gift, established a pledge or created a bequest benefiting Michigan during the campaign.
- The more than $44 million in new bequests from faculty and staff demonstrated our collective commitment to the future of great education and culture, research and medical care at U-M.
The Michigan Difference matters to all of us because Michigan matters to all of us. It is the sum of our efforts and commitment that makes a difference for our students, our patients and our communities.
Thank you for your generosity and for all the good that you do for U-M every day.
Sincerely,
Paul Courant
