GET THE LATEST NEWS WITH OUR RSS FEED
What is RSS?
RSS feeds provide free news updates sent to your computer via the Internet (RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication). The feeds usually contain headlines, article summaries, and links to full articles.
Why use an RSS reader?
For anyone that visits several Web pages on a regular basis, RSS feeds are essential. Here's how it works: RSS readers check for new items in the feeds you subscribe to, typically hourly, and then collect the items for you. That means the news comes to you, rather than you having to go to the news.
How to subscribe
To subscribe to RSS feeds, you need an RSS reader. There are dozens of news readers available, and many are offered free of charge. Some readers are available as desktop software that you simply download and install on your computer. Others are Web-based readers that you can access on the Internet. Some of the more popular (and free) readers are listed here: http://blogspace.com/rss/readers
Once you download your reader, you can easily add our U-M Giving news and other feeds. Any reader you choose will have instructions for how to subscribe to RSS feeds.
