Located at the corner of East Huron Street and Glen Avenue, the Michigan Telefund comes alive each evening with the energy and excitement of more than 100 University of Michigan students. Michigan Telefund, the University of Michigan's student telephone fundraising program, has provided students with part-time jobs and an introduction to philanthropy since 1992, while putting them in contact with alumni and friends from across the country.

As an integral part of the University's advancement efforts, Michigan Telefund callers add their own personality and style to the University of Michigan's broad outreach to alumni and friends.

At first, Andrew Lamont didn’t think all that much about his new job as a U-M Telefundraiser. And donors might not think long and hard about a modest gift pledged over the phone. But eventually both add up to something big—in this case, more than $200,000 toward research, scholarships, teaching, and facilities.
