Scholarships
Public health, like the economy, is no longer just a local concern. It is vital to train students from all walks of life and from countries across the globe. This is how to impact disease prevention and health promotion. By training specialists who work in more than 90 countries, the School of Public Health is truly changing the world.

Supporting SPH graduate students allows us to attract the brightest minds and a diverse group of new professionals. A passion for the field and making a lasting impact on behalf of the public's health must be paired with additional financial support that allows these professional-in-training to meet the demands of a rigorous program—one of the best in the country.

Facilities
The vision—a physical space that reflects the technology enriched community-based public health focus of the School and its hundreds of public/private organizational partners.

SPH has broken ground on a new facility whose design matches the academic excellence U of M is known for internationally. $20 million in private support is needed to complete the building and renovation. Significantly upgraded labs, additional teaching and community space and technological upgrades will transform this interconnected, collaborative and highly sophisticated public health program.

Innovative Research
The number of relevant research initiatives being conducted by the faculty and graduates through the School of Public Health is astounding. Women's Reproductive Health, Influenza Prevention, Nano-Technology and Health Care Costs to name a few, are all being supported by private donations and grants. It is out of the entrepreneurial efforts of the faculty that truly world-impacting studies are being conducted to help guide our national health agenda.

Being the vanguard public health institution in the U.S. takes strong support of our outstanding faculty. Traditionally given in the form of endowments, faculty support is critical to both attracting and keeping top-notch professionals. These professionals form the backbone of the School's reputation and output.
